Mixed experience with Yodiz
Hi guys,
I used Yodiz for a few weeks now and there are things that I really like and a few things that are really killing me.
What I really like is the Product Backlog management in particular the availability of Epics, User Stories and tasks which are linked to each other. This was the main reason for me to trial Yodiz because I couldn't find any other reasonable priced tool that does that very well.
The performance issue is however a problem I can not overcome. Any button I click requires a lot of patience to wait for the action to be executed. Examples are "Add Task" in the Sprints screen takes about 3-5 seconds minimum to open the new task. The refresh when moving tasks from "New" to "In Progress" or to "Done" takes 5-10 seconds. I tried different networks but didn't get any significant better results on any of them.
Another issue is that I am unable to prioritise tasks allocated to a user story. For example US-1 had 5 Tasks and I wanted to move Task 4 on top of the list so that the developers pick it up first. Drag and drop always resulted in the task being at the bottom. This is annoying but not a drama.
I think Yodiz has a lot of potential but due to the performance problem it is not helping me at the moment..
Kind regards,
Andreas

Hi,
For last few months, we have been working on major upgrade release and main focus is adding performance and flexibility. We plan to make the release public in first week of September and hopefully all your performance worries will go away and Yodiz will be with super fast performance.
Hope you can manage until then.
Best Regards,

I am from Sao Paulo - Brazil, and I have been suffering same problems. The server response time is too slow and it is a little boring waiting the delay of server. I hope Brazil is included in multizone deployments list because we liked Yodiz

Hi Andreas,
Thanks for your feedback. Yodiz in general has much better performance than the numbers you shared.
We did some analysis and found that Amazon AWS responds very "Slow" in Australia. We are using US based Amazon AWS infrastructure and it seems that the ping rate from Australia is 3 times slower than other regions. Check the following URL for response times for Yodiz in different regions:

Resolution:
We are working on multi-zone deployments and Australia is at top of our list. We will get back to you soon and hopefully the performance issue will be resolved in Australia.Re-ordering of Tasks with-in User story:
This is in our backlog already as few other customers have requested too. We will priortize it and hopefully will be available soon.Best Regards,
