I suggest you ...

surface an API for integration with other software

It would be nice to have an API for integration. Even better, something that could use another API and issue web requests to update Yodiz via JSON... such as for Zendesk http://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/rest_api/introduction.html But I'm sure there are others people might want.

        Hello

It would have been great to have the following functionalities proposed for Yodiz :
Duplicate and move user stories and tasks among different projects
Issue tracker : Add dependencies and followers directly from the interface (same as comments are being updated directly)

        Thank you.

        Best Regards,
        Navisha

So far, we're generally pretty happy with Yodiz. :) Any news on API? Eagerly waiting...

        Our use cases:
-To be able to import old tickets (issues) into Yodiz in a batch (with screenshots/attachments).
-Update an existing issue/user story with more information (e.g., screenshots)
-Integration with another tool (e.g., SharePoint 2013, SpiceWorks Helpdesk)
-Custom [automatic] reporting by grabbing data from Yodiz

Thanks for the great product guys!

        Hi,

I started using Yodiz and I very much the product.

        - Does Yodiz support testcase management in any way?
        - Any testcase management integration support with Yodiz?

        Appreciate your help !

        Hi,

We are just going through the final testing of our API and hope to make it public very soon, most likely during February-2015.

We will update you as soon as we get confirmation and exact date of release from our Dev team.

        Best Regards,
        Yodiz Support Team

        Hello

After a large research on agile management tools, we choose to use Yodiz on our project and we are very happy with it! However, we need to synchronize data manually with our own management tool, because all of our indicators are extracted from it. It will be perfect for us if Yodiz provides a generic API for integrations! We are expecting anxiously for it… when are you going to release it?

        Hello

We have plan to provide the two way communication, currently we are showing only the zendesk tickets comment, we can prioritise it at our side in coming release. About API
its in final stage of testing and verification

        Best Regards
        Yodiz Team

Seems like there is only one way integration with Zendesk. What if I would like my developer comments in Yodiz to be recorded in Zendesk? Also I second the API, any idea when it's coming out?

        Hello,
The API is indeed something useful for integration with other systems and data treatment and data management.
Almost nine months passed since the predicted "overall Yodiz API" to be available.. Is there an actual API and if so were can be found the documentation?

Thank you for your great work.

        Best Regards,

        Hi Sam,

The Get API is now ready and we are doing some pilot testing. Plan is to release it in couple of weeks. Put API is also in final stages so overall Yodiz API will be able within in month.

BTW: Did you try Yodiz Grab? You can capture screenshots, annotate and report bugs directly to Yodiz. It may save sometime for your QA team. http://yodiz.com/help/how-to-use-yodiz-grab-firefox-addon/

        Best Regards,
        Yodiz Support Team

Here's some use cases for a Yodiz API:

        1. Issue Creation - Our QA team uses a 3rd party service (http://www.bugherd.com/) to report bugs. Right now the process is Bugherd -> Zendesk -> Yodiz. However it'd make more sense if we could send them directly to Yodiz, using something like Zapier (http://zapier.com)
        2. Time Tracking - Instead of manually exporting timesheets and importing them into our invoicing/payroll software, we'd like to be able to run scheduled queries against an API to automate the process
        3. Backlog / User Stories / Issues - For larger projects we sometimes create custom dashboards for our clients to view the status of their project. Being able to collate this data in one place instead of having to give them a Yodiz account means our clients don't have to learn another piece of software.

Additionally, push notifications would be useful so we could automate actions using Zapier and get notifications in Hipchat.

        Hi Dennis,

ZenDesk integration is in final stages of implementation and it will be released within 2 weeks, latest by July 15, 2013.

        Best Regards,

What is the ETA on the Zendesk intergration? we are looking to move from pivoltraker but Zendesk is the core of our Help Desk.

        Hello Brook,

The full API is a little bit lower in pipeline as we are completing some other urgent tasks for Yodiz.

However, if you can share some specific use cases that you have in mind than we can offer you API for those use cases shortly.

So kindly list down the most important use cases and share with us.

        Best Regards,
        Yodiz Support Team

argh! So keen for this. I dont want to move away from Yodiz but this is really holding things up for us....

      • Brook Warner commented  ·

This is really what is needed to take Yodiz to the next level. I'd love to see an ability to hook into the time estimated, time remaining, and time expended fields. Ideally, I'd love to see a section on Yodiz that shows me a schedule of week x user and shows me if things are on time or not. Eg, if I estimate effort at 2days, I see this visually. If, after tracking 1 day worth of time I estimate the time to completion as another 2 days, I will see this represented visually.

Any updates as to when the API will be available? We like what we see, but need a tight integration with Harvest App.

      • Brook Warner commented  ·

So keen to have this integrate with Toggl, Harvest or Eon

      • Anonymous commented  ·

Also waiting for this. We are in the process of selecting a agile tool for our development team but require creation of bugs via api and retrieval of all tasks/bugs for a particular project.

Please can you push this if possible.
