have a locale setting (for dates and such)
Dates currently represent themselves European-style (like DD/MM/YYYY). Here in the US we generally use MM/DD/YYYY. I'd like to be able to set my project or company locale so that dates format themselves in my local convention (it could also affect the language of the interface).

Hi,
This has been implemented few weeks ago but probably we forgot to update the status of this feature.
Now you can go to Project Settings, edit details to setup your project locale and timezone.

This is extremely important to me as well - Time in a recognized format for us people in the states is a key to product delivery :) Voted this one way up:)
