  2. beta comment - tasks within a user story are filtered by person

I've noticed that the task within a user story do not alway show everyone's tasks when filtering for me.

I kind of understand that when you filter, you want to only see your stuff. But, it turns out, I'm interested in the other tasks too in the same user story I have tasks in.

Is there a way to see all the tasks within user stories in which I'm a part?

The purpose is to identify tasks that may need to be completed prior to working on other tasks for the user story. I suppose I can put a dependency…

  3. Keep up the good work!

Just saw the beta UI today and I really like it! Good work guys. I really like how I can see bugs and user stories on the same page now, and quickly enter tasks all in one spot.

  4. Show active sprint on Project dashboard

The charts on Project dashboard that shows just one sprint (with a select to choose a sprint) show by default the last sprint, even if this one is on state planning and there exists an other sprint who is active.

  5. Corrige Reports Data - spent hours by user

In Reports, spent hours are assigned to the owner of a task, and not to he user who really log these hours.

    Ex.
On project MyProj, John owns TK-123, estimated on 10 hours, but has done nothing there till the moment.
Anne worked 2 hours on TK-123.

Report shows 2 hours on MyProj by John, and 0 hours by Anne.

  7. Increase Performance of User Story Priority on Sprint

The functionality to change the priority on each User Story within the Sprint Board exhibits extremely poor performance.

It seems to get slower as more user stories are in a Sprint. I'm working with 80-90 user stories in a sprint, and each change in priority consistently takes 1-2 minutes.

Drag-and-drop would be even more appreciated, but even with the limited functionality of the number-based entry, the performance problems makes this functionality very difficult.

  8. should have a plain text editor

The bug/issue tracking feature of Yodiz is quite important for me. As an IT company our bug descriptions may contain some code snippet, html source snippet, special characters, etc. However many of these special code parts are transformed - html tags are removed after saving, special characters are changed, sometimes removed by the editor. Very often it would be simply easier to attach a line of code to the description instead of attaching it as a text file.

  9. More Accurate Burn Down Chart

Your burn down graph doesn't seem to be accurate. It only reflects "completed" stories, and does not account for completed tasks of a story.

All burn down charts I have worked with, they take the total points of a user story, and divides the number of tasks. This more accurate calculation reflects a burn down chart.

Otherwise you get what we have which is a very flat "stair case" burn down chart, where progress is only reflected when stories are completed.

Tasks should be rewarded on a burn down chart for completed.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.
Currently we have 2 options at Burndown chart, “Story Points”, which as you mentioned only moves when story moves to Done or accepted state.
Second Burndown is for Tasks (based on hours estimates).

it is interesting option to have a graph, like you have explained that shows incremental progress based on number of tasks.

We will discuss with our team and hopefully will implement this soon.

    Best Regards,
    Yodiz Support Team

  10. To add a desviation column on Dashboard/Reports

The formula for this new column may be:
= Hours Estimated - (Hours Spent + Hours Left)

It will allow to see at a glance if estimations are correct, and if projects are going well.

  11. Create impediment for tasks

Allow a task to be marked with an impediment so that we don't need to set the whole story with an impediment (blocked) and may focus on the specific problem that's disturbing the task.

  12. Changes during sprint

We planned 2-week sprint. But after some time situation changed and we have to change to 3-week sprint and we added some US. The problem is with burndown chart. The "points done" line shows the actual stat day by day but "points estimate" line is show for actual size of sprint. It should have same approach - either day by day or based on current state...

I personaly favour the day by day aproach.

It doesn't appear that the project setting takes daylight saving time into account. I set up my time zone to Pacific Time but it's an hour off.

  17. Dependencies

Current dependencies feature is OK, but the real use case for us is for people to look at the sprint and need to know what to do first or what to watch to know when their task is ready to start.

Our suggestion would be to put a blocked indicator on the card (possibly red color) that has a mouseover to tell you what task is blocking it. The top blocker should have a different indicator (maybe same icon in same place, but green instead of red?) so that it is obvious what needs to be done first when you…

    Hi,

We are going to link the “Block” status with “Dependency is Block by” features and also will add the different color code for blocked items.

So in a way most of your suggestions are in pipeline and we will make them public once they are ready in our upcoming releases.

    Best Regards,
    Yodiz Support Team

  18. Give clarity around what a blocked tasks means

I marked a task as blocked, but on the Sprint board it put it into an In Progress state and the program moved my story into a Completed state (because it's the last task to be completed). This doesn't quite make sense to me. A story shouldn't be completed if it has a task left, even if the task is blocked.

We have dependency Tracking (Dependencies) interface to explicitly block the User stories, Tasks etc. if they depend on other items.

We are going to link the Blocked state with dependencies and that’s correct if the user story has some blocked task then it shouldn’t be completed and block the User Story completion like we do on Dependencies logic.

We are planning to update Blocked state logic in our upcoming release.

    Best Regards,
    Yodiz Support Team

  19. Add numerical priorities, and allow sorting.

Allow numerical priorities, say 0-100, and allow sorting on the sprint board by priority.

This will allow the developers to manage their tasks better, and focus on those with highest priorities, which would be especially useful if a sprint is running behind!

  20. Gmail Contacts & Calendar

Would be nice to have an integration with Gmail contacts and calendar. For collaboration would be perfect as it also give us access to Google Video Conferencing, scheduling, email notification and Google+

    Thanks,
